All County Jazz

The All County Jazz band this year will be using recorded CD or taped auditions. We will be using the requirements from the Jazz section of the NC Bandmasters website: http://www.ncbandmasters.org/jazzpage/jazzpage.htm. The deadline for the audition recordings is Friday, October 28, 2011. Please write your name, instrument, and school name on the tape, do not say anything on the tape. New this year to the audition is the improvisation piece. This was voted on and passed at the September 2011 meeting. If you are interested in judging the tapes please contact me ASAP. We are planning on listening to the tapes Wednesday, November 2nd at 5:00pm in the Western Guilford Band room.

The clinic dates are December 5-6th, 2011 at Eastern High School.

There will be two equal size large jazz bands. The higher band will be lead by a guest clinician.  The other band will be will be lead by Jeremy Ray, SEGHS Band Director.  If there are not enough students to full fill the second band, then students, in chair order, will be asked from the pervious year’s  AC Band.
