Piano Tunings

Hello all,

I have better information for you now regarding piano tunings. I will be handling the scheduling of piano tunings. If you have already submitted your pianos to be tuned to Ian Keith, I have those so you do not need to resend. There are a couple of things you’ll need to do…

1) Make sure you have filled out an instrument repair work order.
A) If you already have an account set up for instrument repairs, then you can go to the “employees” tab on the website, click on “Maintenance,” then click on work orders and submit your information.
B) If you do not have a maintenance form on file, first check to see if an administrator (usually an AP) has that information on file for the school already.
C) If neither you nor an administrator has that information on file, then click on the first attachment (Request Line Access) and fill out the form and fax it to Joe Conley at 370-2398. Once Joe has contacted you and told you that you now have an active account, please follow the instructions on the second attachment (Instructions) to create instrument work orders.

2) Send the invoice from the piano tuning to my office and I will get it to maintenance.

3) The contractor will do everything possible to accomodate your specific needs for tuning. Please be patient as we are doing this for the first time in GCS and it will not be smooth at first. If you have already submitted your piano tuning request, please take care of the instrument work order process ASAP. I will schedule your piano tuning anyhow.

Important Notes to Remember:

Each school is only allowed three accounts. If you are in a school with more than one music teacher, and your principal or assistant principal does not have an existing account, and there are less than three accounts at your school, please have one music teacher create an account rather than a band, orchestra, and chorus teacher all having an account. This means that one person will have to submit ALL instrument repairs from there on; therefore, it may be best if an orchestra or band director fills that position since they will be submitting far more requests for instrument maintenance. Elementary music teachers should create one for their school if a principal or AP does not have one.
