Wind and Percussion players may audition for All-County Orchestra. Auditions should be submitted on CD or Audio Cassette labeled with Name, Director and Home School. Please send them to Andy Oldham at Ragsdale High School by Tuesday, October 28th.

Audition Requirements
- Students must play the All-County Band Scales: Concert Bb, Eb, Ab, and F, as well as their Chromatic Scale. Click here for specific instrument ranges.
- Students must also perform the solo attached below.
- THE SOLOS ARE NOT THE SAME AS ALL COUNTY BAND. The actual solos are listed below. Click on them to download and print out for you students. The start and stop phrases have been clearly marked (thanks Andy!).
- Allegro Moderato is the tempo that should be taken for all instruments.

- Trumpet ~Error in Trumpet solo: in measures 232-233 there should NOT be quarter notes, they should be eight notes. The eight note lines were cut off.
- Trombone
- Tuba ~Copy error in tuba part: Measure 64 a quarter rest was cut off and in measure 72 a staccato C natural eight note was cut off.
- Timpani
- Snare
The clinic will take place Friday, November 21 and Saturday, November 22. The concert will be Saturday night.
