Attached you will find the auditions requirements for All-County Jazz.
The students auditioning will need to send in a tape to Jeremy Ray at Southeast Guilford High School by November 15. Each student will be required to perform a set of scales and a solo.
The requirements for All-County Jazz are the same as they are for All-Region Jazz and you can find the information online at www.ncbandmasters.org on the jazz link.
We will be using the following book: “Jazz Conception” by Jim Snidero (Advance Music) for the solo book. The solo title for this year is “Father Song.” Your students may play with the CD accompaniment or without. No penalty will be assessed for performing without the accompaniment, however, it will make for better listening to the judges.

Please make sure that your students clearly label their school and name on their tape or CD. If you wish to place all of the students on one tape or CD, that is fine, just be sure that it is clearly labeled so that we do not miss someone’s audition.

December 1 and 2: Clinic at Grimsley High School
December 1: Rehearsal 4:30 – 9:00 p.m.
December 2: Rehearsal 9:30 – 2:30 p.m./Concert 7:00 p.m.
